8. Hiking
â..why are we doing this again?â Tommy panted as he did his best to keep up with Jason.
âBecause itâs great exercise.â
âWe get plenty of exercise,â Tommy countered.
Jason chuckled at that response, âItâs good bonding time.â
âTry again,â Tommy gritted as he stumbled along the trail.
Jason stopped abruptly nearly causing Tommy to crash into him. He turned to face his best friend, âOkay, I wanted to get you alone in the woods and have my wicked way with you.â
Tommy was at a loss for words. He sputtered and stammered, his cheeks turned pink and he ducked his head to get away from Jasonâs dark stare. This thing with them was still so new and Tommy was only truly confident when it came to his martial arts. Otherwise he was shy and inexperienced, and a bit in love with someone he often called his brother. It was a lot. âOh,â was all he could manage.
âDoes it upset you? That I had an ulterior motive?â
âNo,â Tommy whispered, still unable to look at Jason.
Jason took a step closer, getting into Tommyâs space, âDoes it excite you?â he whispered against Tommyâs ear.
Tommy swallowed thickly. âY-yes,â he breathed.
Jason took a step back, smiling. âGood. Now câmon, weâve got a little ways to go.â
Tommy followed after Jason, taking in the scenery and trying not to get hurt. Of course the scenery consisted mostly of Jasonâs ass in those shorts. Tommy was pretty sure that jean shorts werenât meant to be tight, but with the way Jason was builtâŚman did he fill them out just right!Â

But there were other things to see that would make him trip and fall on his face. Things like birds and butterflies and rabbits and squirrels, they even saw a fox and its kit scurrying across the trail. The trees were tall and green and there were wildflowers everywhere. They passed over a small creek and climbed up a large hillâor a small mountain depending on your point of view. But when they got to the top, there was open space and a view of the valley below. âJas this isâŚâ
âBeautiful, I know,â he said and watched Tommyâs face as he took in the view. âWorth the hike?â
Tommy turned and looked Jason dead in the eyes, âDefinitely.â And then surprising them both, Tommy moved in a kissed his best friend. His boyfriend. They spent the rest of the afternoon laid out on the blanket Jason had brought, âenjoying the viewâ.

Oliver wasn't quite sure where Scottlyn and he stood, while he rummaged through his bar, selecting the last unopened bottle of rum. They had had a fight yesterday, and the boy was certain that that had been his fault, the argument being based around purely his lack of understanding, but now the red head was inviting him over to watch a movie. Not one to turn down an invitation, especially if it meant getting back on Scottie's good side, he had said he'd come. Oliver hadn't bothered getting dressed, his usual outfit of a plain black tshirt and dark jeans was suitable enough for a movie and drinks, and with a final glance around his room, he set off to see Scottie. When he got to the door, the boy curled his hand into a fist, and gave the wood a tentative knock, leaning against it to whisper a low, "It's me, let me in?"
