Scissors Case, 1690
With inscriptions,
“TOVS. OV. RIEN” (ALL OR NOTHING)
“IE. PERIRAI. PLVSTOS” (I WOULD RATHER DIE)
Could it be...?
It is! Yet another scissors case! I made this one from some Dr Seuss panels that turned out to be the wrong size for the project I had in mind when I got them. I'm ecstatic with how it turned out, and it's just the right size for my smallest paper-cutting scissors.

Oh look another sewing project
I was in the mood for a quick project, so I whipped up a case for my largest fabric scissors. The otter-ly (sorry) adorable print was in my last Sewers Club Stash Builder box; the lining is a plain blue from Creekside Quilting. The otters have a slight purple tint due to a red fabric that bled in the same prewash, so I decided to emphasize that with a purple zipper. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out.
I got tiny embroidery scissors as part of a birthday gift from my friends yesterday.
An hour of fun today and the scissors have a tiny case now. It was just quick fun.
Couldn't wait to use my new fabric!
I made a scissors case with the fantastic chicken fabric that came in my subscription box on Monday. The pattern said it would hold "even the largest shears," however only my smallest fabric scissors fit (and that's a bit snug). Also, the zipper is supposed to be the top of the bag but somehow I managed to cut the fabric upside down.
Despite these issues, I really like how it came out. The flaws don't matter since it's not intended as a gift, and next time I will cut it a little larger (and hopefully not upside down).
