A notice in the mailbox. A simple and inconspicuous trigger. But it wasnāt the thought of a festival that had enticed Ancha. It was the poster that followed along, enthralling, beautiful, the lanterns spreading out across the dark blue of the smooth paper surface like stars speckled upon the night sky. He had been out walking his new pup. Rho, Chiwon had called it. Rho, Ancha had repeated and treasured the name deeply within his heart. The dog was in every way possible a denizen of planet Earth, but somehow simply the name made him feel more at home. As if though his worldĀ had been brought just a bit closer to him -- a rather foolish sentiment considering Rho Aquarii was unfathomably far away from him by human standards. Perhaps he was adapting to more values and sentiment than he believed.
Not lingering for too long by the entrance framework, he accessed the staircase and entered the place he could now call home, and the place that felt more like home to him than anything in this place ever had. One didnāt even have to be an empath to sense the excitement and anticipation in his body language, and Chiwon didnāt have to wait long either before Ancha placed the sheet of decorated paper before him.Ā āThereās going to be a festival soon,ā he probed carefully, almost afraid to disturb his creator in his work. There was a fine line between immersed and available that he sometimes had troubles gauging, but this was, Ancha thought at least, important.Ā āI want to go there with you Chiwon. I want to give back some of what you did for me for Christmas.Ā It wonāt be the real night sky you love, but sometimes this world is also able to create beautiful things. So please come see the stars of this city with me.ā
