Earlier scientists believed that every star collapse to form white dwarf. But at Royal Society Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar presented his ideas and said the stars which mass greater than the Sun will not form white dwarf but collapsed to form neutron stars or black holes. These idea of Subrahmanyan was totally opposed by the Eddington and said there no evidence. But later It is prove that Some stars also form neutron stars or black holes depending on their mass.
