This is the first book I bought with my own money: #SOLARSYSTEM by Nigel Hey. It's literally held together by scotch tape, and for good reason: it changed my world. I was already in love with astronomy and physics (biology would come later) -- whenever my mom would take me to @barnesandnoble, I would practically sprint to the science section in the back, in front of the children's section. I would stay there for hours, just sitting and reading book after book. I'm pretty sure this was the first big purchase I ever made. I remember saying that it was the best thirty dollars I'd ever spend. A wild amount of money, but man, this book came everywhere with me, and it still does: every time I've moved, this book has come with me. My science collection has grown a lot since I bought this gem, but not enough. I want to keep it growing; somewhere along the way, I lost my lust for it to depression, but this year, I'm getting my physics back.
