Dr. Stone Ramble (May Contain S4 Spoilers)
So, I've been rewatching Dr. Stone, alongside rewatching edits of Dr. Stone and rereading fanfic, and I just have so many thoughts. I'm aware that the idea of the main characters having conflict with a person/a group of people and then eventually that group of people either ends up on their side or ends up showing up in their time of need is super popular. Like, it's a very common occurrence.
But to me there's just smth different about the way that Dr. Stone does it. Like, it's fundamentally the same but also it feels so much deeper to me. It's not just, oh yeah, they beat them, they consider the main characters stronger so they're going to fight with them. And it's not just "Oh yeah, you changed my mind/ideals with your ideals/beliefs so I'm going to follow you!". It's more about this diverse group of teenagers, then young adults, then even adults, coming together at the end of the day to save the world. Another common trope, but the way the story is told and it's laid out feels so amazing to me, like every single time I think of The Kingdom of Science, I get super emotional.
The relationship between each character just gives me hope I guess? I dunno, but thinking about how most of the characters are teenagers/high schoolers when we start, or young adults if we're thinking of Ukyo, etc, and how each relationship developed and deepened over time gets to me. Thinking about how literally each person of the Kingdom of Science, even Joel who was freed from stone during the Corn City Arc, fought tooth and fucking nail to get to the Medusa gets me. You think of how in the previous seasons they were at each other's throats and trying to harm each other, and how simply Senku brought them together and now they're fighting for a cause that they believe in together makes me happy.
I know it's been done before, that story, but the way Dr. Stone feels just genuinely gives me life and I don't know how else to explain it.
Two hundred thousand donuts.

I'd say it grows exponentially... 😅 (together with their dorkiness)
APPROVED.
Curry being the end goal, this is all perfectly valid and legit and justified. Obviously. 🤤
