(2/2) Am I freaking out over nothing? What typically drives students’ GPA down? Is there anything I can do now that will make my year easier? sorry for the long message, you don’t have to include this part if you don’t want to haha. I just wanted to thank you guys for your help, it is very much appreciated and makes a world of difference to this nervous first year!

To start with a disclaimer, uni is different for every one and high school is not a really great measure because the testing methods and nature of stuff is really different. 

Based on my experience at Schulich, in first year, quite a few people managed to achieve 8+ but as time went on and people worked and had other commitments, the number does go down. Sometimes it’s not about you but the way that the classes are (esp in first and second year where there’s a bunch of classes you must take). 

However, I think an 8 is manageable if you’re committed - it’s all about time management and actually staying on top of stuff rather than goofing off (which can be, admittedly, hard). 

I only know that Schulich, Osgoode, and I’ve also recently been informed by admin D, Department of ADMS are not part of CUPE 3903. It can vary from department to department.

Unfortunately not from I’m reading, delayed entry to Schulich is only open for current York students.

You can’t - it’s only open to Schulich students and it’s a core course.
