I find the best compromise is to deliver your quicker work, for less cost. So rather than offering people stuff that takes days of work, sketch commissions and stuff. That way you get a balance of not ripping yourself off, and other people affording your art. Artists on this website have to be really underpriced (or ludicrously famous) to get anywhere.

Yeah, that’s actually my idea. Also, not even that it’d be my ‘quicker’ work, but like... a cheaper price doesn’t cause my inner perfectionist to trigger, and I feel more comfortable maybe trying new techniques (if it results in the same outcome, that is).

So far the only price I’ve got figured out is like, $5 for a bust sketch (note: by ‘sketch’ I mean stuff like this, so still relatively clean), $10 for a full-body sketch (like this), and then something like a fully-painted illustration like this would be $150+ based on complexity. Not because I’m interested in the money from it tbh, but because I really don’t want those kinds of requests coming in all that often.

The kinds of images I think most people are interested in, based on when people ask if I take commissions, are painted busts like this or character paintings with a simple background like this and this. There’s also probably a want for simple cell-shading/color flat pictures (like this, this or this) because those are fairly quick to turn around and they’d absolutely be cheaper. These are the prices I have like, no idea about lmao. “Between $10 and $150 idk″ is not very useful.

Tell that to Rembrandt. Go back kick his ass for mixing with black. Ugh. How dare he. ( I think ‘don’t use black/grey’ is badly worded. What they MEAN is that just using the same hue but only shading using desatured blacks and greys can make an image look flat or murky. But even then there’s situations where that… works…

favorite episode battle: Stereotypical answer probably but Belias just IS really iconic. And Dorter solely for the music, even though I hate the battle itself. It’s difficult to find a favourite battle but I could make a whole list with battles I hate and rant about why I hate them. Don’t make me, it would be a long post.

saddest death: I can’t say Isilud because that will make me look like an obsessive fan so I’ll go with Zalbaag because that shit was brutal. But also honourable mention to “Are you ok, Wiegraf!!”

favorite season scene: Riovanes castle as a whole was really powerful. I love the conversation Folmarv has with Barrington, the music really sets the tone and atmosphere.

least favorite season scene: I’ll say the epilogue, not because I think it’s a bad scene (the opposite is true) but it emotionally destroyed me so much I’m still unable to listen to the goddamn music years after I played the game. What an ending. I hate it. It’s amazingly written and I wouldn’t have it any other way but I hate it.

Joelsine is very discreet and reserved about her pain. When her father passed away, her mother tried to put aside her own heartache to soothe hers but Joelsine shut her out completely. She considers her sorrows hers to bear alone.

5. She’s not much of a chatterer and is usually withdrawn from social life. Still, she can talk at great lenght regarding cultures and spirits. You would not expect it, because she makes very little use of it, but she’s an excellent orator. It’s hard not to be fascinated by her natural eloquence and her passion for those topics.

6. Her obvious beauty has made her the object of desire of many. She’s shy and gets easily flustered by all the attention and compliments. Not to mention she never knows how to turn someone down.

7. She has an extensive knowledge on the medicinal virtues of plants and fungi. She regularly collects many in the surroundings of her home to support her work as a mender.

8. She never breaks her word. You’d be wrong to assume she was joking just because the tone of the conversation was playful. A promise is a promise.

9. Growing up, Joelsine had a deep admiration for her father and she quickly worked hard to follow in his footsteps as a Raven shaman. She’d accompany him everywhere and always mirror his behaviours. Her mother always saw so much of him in her and struggled to see what her daughter may have inherited from her.
