Oh so when Azune Nayar continuously runs the past over in his head, people theorize that it’s part of his Socercy lineage.
But when -I- do it, people start wondering if I have OCD
I'm still thinking about Azune. This almost snuck its way into the other post but it didn't really fit so:
"I will never not be useful. Never."
"Because I will find a way to always be useful."
And Murray heard that and thought it was naivety, a slow death through assimilation, like he didn't know what he was saying. But she doesn't get that he's been in that pot of hot water for most of his life. And when it does get too hot, from his vantage point in the pot, he manages to turn the heat back down. For a time. Jumping out would save himself but would do nothing for everyone else in the pot. It's possible the analogy got away from me just as much as it did from Murray and Azune.
Anyway i'm getting more excited for Azune at the Schemer's table the more I think about it. The way he described the situation and what they have to do accurately, bluntly- it felt so sudden, but in hindsight it was thrummung under the surface throughout the whole overture.
Also excited for the way everyone at that table is gonna be a pretty good liar except for Murray, who could not keep her opinions to herself if her life depended on it (which we've seen! She almost got herself killed talking shit to Primus Tachonis!) I mean she probably could if she wanted to but boy does she not want to
I really hope that the Schemers revisit that letter from Thjazi to Murray about Bolaire at some point during this arc because I know it's been like five months for us at this point but 'Bolaire' being written on the cover of that letter still doesn't make sense to me, not even as a filing thing, and it caused above table confusion when a lot of stuff was going on, and in-game it risked the letter going to Bolaire by accident, so there must have been a purpose behind it and it keeps niggling at me every now and then
I wonder if there was already something on the paper that was invisible and specific to Bolaire, and Thjazi labelled it with his name so as not to lose track of it, before the letter to Murray was ever written. Murray did only roll a 14 arcana when checking it out, so she could have missed something magical let alone something mundane like invisible ink
Murray and Thimble haven't spoken since before the letter was delivered, so if it doesn't come up in the Schemer's Arc I suppose there's a chance it will when the tables rejoin.
all I want for christmas is Schemer's Table content and for the queer community in general to stop being grossly transphobic to transmascs and nonbinary folks

Didn't even get through the ad read of the first schemer's table episode before Marisha hit Liam. We're so back.
