Rotten Death Metal from Grefrath, Germany
HELLGRAV were formed in autumn 2021 in Grefrath, Oedt – a small village on the Lower Rhine – and describe their musical style as “Rotten Death Metal”. Although the quartet is deeply rooted in Swedish death metal, they also like to venture into American territory from time to time. Here, frenzied riffs and wild frenzy meet dark melodies and bone-crushing grooves. With their debut album “Dehumanized”, HELLGRAV unleash a merciless assault on the ears and cement their position as one of the most exciting newcomer bands on the death metal scene. Their EP “Rottomatic”, released back in 2022, was already a must-listen for fans of raw death metal, but now the Viersen-based band are following it up with a full-on barrage.
