Red put down her beer and spoke, "These people just make no sense, because I feel like it's pretty obvious that sexuality is taboo, like they're one and the same thing. Sexuality is getting your most exceptional, extraordinary, perhaps criminally unusual desires fulfilled. Without a norm to transgress, without bounds circumscribed by taboo there can be no real sexuality. And so like, these chuckle fucks think they're dispelling the presence of bad evil sex when all they're doing is creating a stronger taboo that in turn creates a stronger sexual feeling for those that engage with taboos."

Ash squinted, that last joint had been one too many, "And that's why it's ok that you're a rapist?" she responded.

"Pf." Red chided, "No that's morality I don't really care to engage with that kinda stuff." She picked her beer bottle up again.

"Whatever." Ash said, but it wasn't loud enough to be heard in the general din of music and dumb fuck punks who were yelping at each other over a game of kicker. The chain lights strewn across the pipes in the ceiling glowed as diligently and steadily as they always did. The smoke in the air did a demonstration of exactly how far the breath from one mouth can reach in a room of unmasked people that went entirely ignored.

Red pulled Ash close against her chest and Ash moaned softly enough to go unheard, but strong enough to be felt. Red pulled the hair away from Ash's ear, "I'm just trying not to bullshit you is all. I know there may come a time when I can choose between doing what I think would be best for you and doing what I want, and with you I might choose doing what I want, even if normally I try to be kinder than that. Take it as an indication that I like you if you want."

Ash sighed, life was heaven, she asked dreamily, basically just to keep hearing Red talking "So what is it that you want."
