So I'm 90% sure this is from the new bonus content. There's little bits here and there that have been added in but I'm pretty sure this wasn't in the longplay that was posted a year ago.

So after the Scarlet Rain end where you break his umbrella/core and have Scarl pledge to be your servant, there's some bonus content. Instead of showing him under our control or us commanding him, he's... the same.

He asks if we like him and we have the chance to say yes or no. I said yes because I personally adore this obsessive little 8'3 spirit. But it's just... very interesting to me since before this I remember seeing exactly how the fandom interpreted him becoming our "slave", but... he seems normal.

He's still obsessed with the MC's affection and doesn't seem to have any sort of memory loss. He also still seems to have his powers given how he's able to fill the screen with his text🤔

EDIT: I just noticed, he doesn't even keep the name you renamed him??? I renamed him just to Mr.Scarlet to keep it similar but it's back to normal now. Maybe his "core" breaking was more of an act? Something to see just what we'd do if we thought we defeated him? Even more questions... I'm going to be thinking this over for a while.

Then there's the normal Scaretella ending which gives us a new CG!!

I know in the game the MC doesn't like Scarletella for obvious reasons, but this new scene really makes me "hmm" a bit. (In a neutral way) The MC gets injured badly in some way, and Scarletella appears asking if we need help or if he wants us to kill whatever it was that hurt us. We tell him no, that we don't need his help, and then pass out.

He then goes to find us something to help heal us and then... the scene ends.

I find it very interesting to see Scarletella not holding his umbrella for once... like he actually put his core down/away because we are just that special. It reminds me of that one scene as well where Mr.Machete just feeds us some of his blood (begrudgingly) when we say we're hungry. Scarletella's just going off to find us some blood to eat so we feel better. (Cute!)

But there was something else after that I thought was interesting. After the scene is over, there's the option to go back to the set of choices but there's also a power button that says it'll take you to the title screen. Since I was just going through the scene to get screenshots for this post, I opted to click it and-

Oh. Hi- Hi Scaretella-

Sadly he doesn't stay there, it goes back to normal once you pick something or exit back out. But it was a cute little feature to see!!
