Pokemon Drawing Challenge Day 6: Ground!
would you hug this big damp thing
One thing that disappoints me about the more recent PokΓ©mon games is that even though they give everyone Rotom phones, they don't make the Rotoms their own characters.
It was one of the things I liked about the Rotom Dex in SM/USUM. They were our buddy! We had a little Guy to hang out with while we were traveling. He talked to us, gave us a silly nickname that he called us by, and made comments about what was happening in the story.
Like, we're a silent protagonist through most of the game, so why not give us a sassy little sidekick in the form of our cell phone?
I want some fanfics of characters chatting with their rotoms. Someone is getting sassed because their phone thinks they're being silly about something they're trying to do. A rowdy Rotom speaking up for their much shier owner. A responsible Rotom reminding their kid partner that Mom said they needed to be home before dark. A trainer getting scolded by their Rotom for forgetting to grab something from PokΓ©mon Center.
Like, they'd already established that a Rotom in a piece of tech can communicate with humans just fine. Why didn't they use that more?
