I don't particularly have an interest in any of the other aquatos (or other characters) being "the next maligula" or having a maligula of their own bc I feel like that detracts from the very character specific circumstances from which Lucy became consumed by that alter ego.

She left her second home to return to the first one to protect it, helped fight off whole invading forces while being the most mentally defenseless she's ever been in her life, the whole time being manipulated by her country's ruler, and eventually killed her last remaining family. I don't think there's really replicating this, you feel me?

and of course there's a lot you could do with exploring what a character's absolute limit and breaking point would be, but with augustus i feel like it's retreading old ground.

As for there being a baby Wukong.. that sure would be interesting to see, especially because Sun Wukong never was a baby canonically. I think though that MK would be the most enthused by this turn of events.. he already thinks his mentor is super cute and cheeky, so if he were to get babified, that would just be magnified ten fold and he'd be over the moon excited to hang out with a lil baby Monkey King!

I know Psychonauts design best, but I've actually made levels for that and for A Hat in Time in my head. And I made one giant thing as a suggestion for a whole modded chapter once... I'll copy and paste it here without any changes, so it might be very messy to read, but hey. This is how I write my basic thoughts.

Could have an introduction level on the train and getting to town, with mostly just stealthing around science owls as they go about experiments? If not chapters, then I'd cut this part personally. It's where you'd see Walter, the Conductor, and Connor all together, arguing with each other about Connor wanting to stay back to watch the awards. From there, you can go to the front of the train and collect the first timepiece.

Start of the level is everything all sweet and cheery, bright trees and people all casually walking around. No real enemies in that part, just fun platforming and the like you see in Mafia Town and a few assets from Subcon as-is. It's a friendly place. It's lovely. You can see the train at the station, and Walter and the old Conductor can be found in town talking a bit about everything. Everyone seems excited. (You probably can't actually go on the train, unfortunately. No ticket, no entry for now.) This part is a really simple level, like Picture Perfect or the like. Super easy stuff.

You enter the Manor, where there's servants bustling around, so you have a situation sort of like the hallway in Arctic Cruise. It's a messy place. Maybe some ship-shape inspiration could work there, but as I like having sanity, I'd make this a sort of corridor level where you're trying to get to the actual wedding area if it's a level on its own.

Then the ice starts. (If this is another level, Hat Kid probably does something a little bit extra before the actual thing happens, and if not we just get a cutscene with Vanessa.) Run. You have to get to the train, and from there you go straight to the front, finding Connor. He gives you the timepiece with barely any words, then… leaves. Just walks out.

(If there were to be a purple rift here, I'd probably make it either about Snatcher in the background, or about Walter and Connor when they were young. If there's a blue rift, no bonk surfing /j!!! /J!!!!)

I think it's a fascinating game with a really good plot. The characters are well-written, and I'll admit that I find Curly a fascinating mess of a person.

I know I won't actually play it, since I've got a long backlog-- Heck, I've got 4 games I should've already been playing, and my steam games have 15 more in a folder labeled "Backlog" and 48 in a "Play when I can" folder. It's a problem. I have, however, seen videos on it, and I love some of the stuff people have made for it. I've seen that one video for the steam awards a dozen times over, and I just found Cami-Cat's new song about it, and it's such a banger. If you haven't heard it... Go listen.

Heard of it, yes. That's... Really it, though. I might've met someone who was cosplaying as a character? I don't even know for 100% certain. They were super cool though.
