One problem with being a Tengu is a general difficulty with new concepts... If a lesson or idea isn’t something that readily fits into a pre-existing schema, it takes some real effort to make sense of. So, when Daichi received a letter from Remilia Scarlet asking for his assistance on her reputation after a fairly scathing piece by Aya Shameimaru, he was a bit confused. How did one go about improving their PR after the interview is already done? Aya asked questions, Remilia answered, and the article was put out... What’s left? Ask more questions? But that won’t change peoples’ opinion on the Vampire.
Then, like a sudden thermal, the confusion lifted... He could do better. If Aya thought one thing, but Daichi could prove another, that would mean he was the better journalist, right? That was worth a try.
Plus, it was fantastic to be able to float past Meiling bearing an official invitation from the mistress of the mansion that granted free passage. Delicious.
“Luk ba, Honored Scarlet!” He offered a quick bow, then immediately set his head to swivel around and absorb the details of the Vampire’s throne room. “Nice place you have!”
