I really liked where it went. but some of the inter cutting between different strands of the plot put the pace a bit off.

There were moments in it I enjoyed, but I thought the decision to put the rebels in a slow-motion chase was a terrible one, the character work was weak (or non-existent in Finn’s case), the Dickensian orphans were just embarrassing, and the dialogue was generally extremely clunky. Also, it made the universe seem the size of a handkerchief and was so limited in its settings - far too many scenes on space ships or in bases - that it felt weirdly like a TV episode.

There were some visually stunning sequences, though - the white/red stuff on Crait was terrific - and the Porgs were as adorable as intended.

Oh, absolutely. It started in Buffy with that horribleepisode in which a nerdboy casually created sex-robot “made to love him”, whichwas an intro to create Buffybot, Spike’s personal sex-slave (a bit vapid,but hey, a good sub/stitute for Buffy who thought he was beneath her at thetime) only to culminate in them later (‘them’ including Espenson who didn’twrite that specific episode but whose justification was often quoted, that itwas “necessary to set up a powerful motivation for Spike’s quest to gain a soul”)actually portraying the rape attempt scene–from the assailant’s point of view. Becauseat that point it was a ‘mutually abusive’ relationship, on Buffy’s behalf aswell? So the scene was carefully choreographed, camera alternating betweenclose-ups to reinforce the audience’s shifting empathy with both victim and therapist? I thought I’d never see anything more disturbing than that, but then Oswald Danes happened. Which, ‘exploration of precariousnessof fame’, of a child-molesting rapist and a murderer? *shivers* Unspeakable. While in the meantimeshe also did her ‘thing’ in BSG with Baltar’s cult-like harem, a gaggle ofvapid worshippers (slash sex-slaves) and… I think I recall her doing somethingfor Jessica Jones too (blink and you’ll miss the credits) but holy fuck, the issuesin it–PTSD, control, violence and abuse? Good thing she wasn’t given too muchroom to spread her ‘wings’ there?

Well there are NSFW Rumbelle funkos not made by me.  But Tumblr tags 1 in 10 of my funko posts as NSFW.  Usually when they’re very very fully clothed.  But my mind rejects the idea of funkos as sexy.
