Huh! Never thought I’d see another occasion of a scanlation where the person is claiming they’re a whole store. (A patisserie is a pastry shop).

Sometimes you have to stop and consider whether adding an extra note is necessary at all...

Yes, I am utterly convinced that that text was written onto that blackboard. Black shadow included.

There are no parrots here, so why are you saying “ara ara”?

If their aim was to make it unreadable, they succeeded.
Besides the most obvious, there are four mistakes in a single panel. Four.
Manga: Metto-kun wa Ikemen Desu.
I'm trying to imagine what the sfx text would have said, had this been an actual translation.
There is no way the original text would have been something that means "gets closer". It's completely made up by the scanlators. Don't do that.
Note: sometimes making up stuff is necessary, since Japanese sometimes uses "sound effects" for things that can't be translated as an actual sound effect. Example, "がっかり" (gakkari; disappointed). My suggestion is to go with something that sounds like a sound effect and fits the imagery, like "slump". But for the love of me, don't use a description that looks like "does a thing".

Unforgivable? I'll say. Who wants to read a manga littered with personal comments? And why does the picture have all the extra notes for the editor to follow? And why is kana suddenly called kanji?
^^^ Complaint goes there
