Anisha giggled, reaching out to mess with Rin’s hair. She was kind of tired and everything was strangely funny. She loved her giggly, not caring mood. She always did something stupid and funny when she felt like that.

“Stop, Dragon Breath,” Rin whined, also tired. He had stayed up late completing another potion for a particularly unhappy client. 

Anisha smiled and slid off the couch and into his lap like a spill of slime. He growled and shoved his wife’s best friend off his lap. Anisha lay still on the floor, contemplating the ceiling. She slowly reached over and tugged on Rin’s clothing thoughtfully.

Rin shook her off, growing even more annoyed. Anisha rolled over, watching as Rin worked on writing notes on potions.  She grabbed the end of his pen, thinking about putting it in her mouth to help cut the new adult dragon teeth that were starting to grow in. They hurt.

Rin growled, ears folding back as he raised the pen.

“OW!”

Laurance heard Anisha’s shout of pain and ran in to see the girl licking a divot in her skin with a dot of ink at the center. The Semni’s eyes caught sight of his guilty looking friend who was trying to hide the weapon.

“I’m sorry, but did you just stab my wife with a pen?” Laurance asked calmly. He wanted to laugh but that would ruin the effect.
