Back again with another canon character!!! This time it's Bumblebee :D

...I may or may not have been dazzled by the Starbee hyperfixation

Today had been a long day, the kids were left to have a free day and pretty much do whatever they wanted to do, as long as it was reasonable of course. You had volunteered to help clean things up after a few raccoons got in and made a mess of things, taking off with the bags of marshmallows that were going to be used for the campfire tomorrow night. After you and a couple other counselors finished cleaning you and Reilly went out for a groceries because you can’t have a campfire without marshmallows. After all that was done, it was already getting dark, so you decided to see what Steve and the kids were up to.

“Knock knock.” You say as you gently kick on the screened door of their cabin and wave in at them. “Looks like the whole crew is here, huh?” You smile through the screen and pull the door open to see both your groups lounging around the cabin.

You glance over at Steve who is sitting in a chair with Lexi, one of the girls in the group, at his feet. His fingers are tangled in the back of her hair while Carrie, another one of your group members, is giving him instructions and pointing at her hair. You smile at Steve, your head tilted to the side. His eyes go wide and he drops his hands from Lexi’s hair and clearing his throat awkwardly.

“I was, uh - I just.” Steve fumbles awkwardly over his words, finishing with a defeated shrug of his shoulder that causes you to smile and shake your head.

As you look around at the kids in the cabin, you realize how quiet they have been, them all looking at you with smiles. The silence quickly turns awkward and you bite the inside of your cheek, desperately trying to come up with something to say that will break through the silence. As you go to open your mouth, the walkie-talkie hooked onto your waistband breaks through the silence as a voice calls out to you.

“y/n, you have the key to the kitchen. Will you lock up?” The voice asks. You pull it off your shorts and bring it to your mouth to respond.

“You got it, I’m heading that way now.” You smile at the kids and over at Steve as you turn to head back out the door.

“Steve said he likes you and thinks you’re really cute” Max blurts out and jumps a little when Steve foot juts out and kicks her in the leg. “What? Someone’s got to be your wingman.” She shrugs.

You can feel your face get hot as you look at all the snickering kids, scattered around the cabin. “oh, well - uhm… tell Steve I said feelings are mutual” You say with a small smile as you look at Steve, both of your eyes locking for a few seconds before you pull the door back open. “I- I’ve got to go lock up.” You point out the door and step out letting it close behind you as you walk out and to the kitchen.

“Hey, ar-are you serious?” You hear the familiar voice of Steve ask from behind you as he jogs to catch up with you. “You feel the same?”

“Well, yeah.” You look down at your feet, suddenly too shy to look him in the eyes.

“Thank God. You are part of the reason I even signed up for this.” He admits with a shrug of his shoulders. “I- uhm should probably get back to the kids.” He points behind him as he slowly starts to walk backward, eyes still glued on you. “After camp is over do you wanna…”

“I’d love to go on a date with you, Steve.” you smile at him as one grows wide on his face.

“Perfect.” He says before turning around and jogging back to the cabin when the kids were waiting.
