SAN BERNARDINO
My thoughts go out to the families of the victims of today’s terrorist attack at the Social Services Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, Calif., occurring at 11 am PT (1900 UTC). I have distant relatives that live in that city within a 10-mile radius of the site. Latest report is that 14 people are dead and another 14 are wounded; perhaps three of the shooters are still at large. The SBUSD is on lockdown and Amtrak and Metrolink train service has been halted; the San Diego Regional Center has also been closed. For the latest coverage check into KNX-AM 1070 Radio in L.A. here or here, or the San Bernardino Sun newspaper here. (There is a local news-talk station, the ex-home of Roseanne Barr, but apparently their staff is too small to cover this story.) If you live in the area, please stay safe.
