In this livestream, I address the myth that single payer will amount to “rationing of healthcare” and some of the conservatives attacks on the Canadian healthcare system that are gross misrepresentations and wouldn’t even apply to proposed legislation such as California’s #SB562, Congress’ #HR676, and #S1804. Download the final report.
Ryan Skolnick addresses your deepest, darkest fears about Single Payer Healthcare.
I am totally calling out California Democrats (looking at you Villaraigosa)
If you can support Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for All" bill on the national level, which is literally never going to happen under the Trump administration....
....Why can't you support the "Healthy California" bill on the state level, which is way more feasible and already passed the Senate? 🤔

Episode 16: The Healthy California Act SB 562
June 23, 2017
Statement from California Democratic Party Chair Eric C. Bauman On Announcement That SB 562 Will Be Held in Rules Committee
Los Angeles—California Democratic Party Chair Eric C. Bauman released the following statement in reaction to the announcement that SB 562—the single-payer, Medicare-for-all legislation recently passed by the State Senate—will be held in the Assembly Rules Committee: "Today’s announcement that the Assembly will not be moving forward on single-payer, Medicare-for-All healthcare for California at this time is an unambiguous disappointment for all of us who believe that healthcare is a right for every Californian. We understand that SB 562 is a work in progress, but we believe it should keep moving forward, especially in light of the widespread suffering that will occur if Trump and Congressional Republicans succeed in passing their cold-blooded, morally bankrupt so-called healthcare legislation. I call upon our Legislative Leaders to work together to find appropriate and acceptable solutions to enable SB 562 to advance as soon as possible. Hundreds of thousands of people in California stand to lose their health insurance if Trumpcare 3.0 is signed into law. Countless Democrats passionately believe that Medicare-for-all healthcare is a bedrock principle of the Democratic Party, and I stand with them. Our message to our Legislative Leaders is clear: SB 562 must be given the chance to succeed.”
