D: Comforting hugs
âYahoo! We did it!â The red haired woman pumped her fists in the air.
âHOW do you still have that much energy after-â
The blond woman was interrupted by a smaller voice. âWe-we did it. We seriously did it!â
âHm-hm. As you would say, "that was a close one", but I had full confidence you all could pull through.â was the comforting voice of Isanir.
âYipee! I had as much confidence too, but it was still so cool to see you guys do it!â Ginyagu's cheerful as always voice added.
âEchoing Miriam about the energy. Personally, I'm exhausted.â Lamar said.
âHonestly, the only thing that worried me is when that asshole targeted Elothu. You sure are ok, big guy?â
âHmph. Unfortunately, he did manage to land quite a blow on me. Although it's nothing to be worried about.â
âA blow to your pride more than your body?â playfully suggested Isanir.
âQuite so. Although I am unfortunately feeling a little tiredâŚâ
âWhoa, wow. Hey, if Elothu is feeling that bad, it's a good thing we're done here because I'm bringing him straight home.â
âAlicia, you surely exaggerateâŚâ
âUh-huh. Nope. You never get hit, I'm not taking any risks.â
âLike I said, it is nothing to fret about. You get hit much worse on the daily.â
âYeah, but it's normal for me. We're going home. Now.â
Elothu shrugged, absolutely blaffed by Alicia's response. The rest seemed equally confused, or slightly amused.
âSo, uh.â said Miriam. âWhat about the guy that still needs to pay us?â
âYou guys deal with the rest. See ya. Take care, Dottie.â
âOk! Bye! Hope Elothu feels better soon!â
âThere is no reason for-â The Evocation tried to insist.
âNope. Not listening.â
Elothu frowned. Why was his host so headstrong?
Upon arriving, Alicia proceeded to leave the bat someplace safe (but close) and she called Elothu to appear.
âWhat.â
âSo, how do you guys heal? Lamar can't heal you, right? Do you need rest, or food, or a medkitâŚâ
âNothing of the sort, dear Alicia. The only thing that can heal one such as me is time.â
ââŚ? Like, a clock?â
âHumph. That is not what I meant. What I'm trying to say is, given enough time passing my wounds will heal and I'll fully recover.â
âWait, so waiting is the only thing we can do?â
âIndeed. But like I said before, it's not a big wound, so it's not important.â
âYes it is!â Alicia seemed frustrated and worried. âNow you're telling me you're gonna be injured for who knows how long! It's important!â
âWhy?â Elothu asked confused. âMy life is hardly in danger.â
âSo!? I don't want any of my friends to be injured. But at least Miriam and Lamar and Dottie can heal fast. You don't even do that! Of course I'm worried!â
âVery touching, then. You're seriously that worried about me?â He said in a playful tone. But to his surprise, she nodded. âAlicia, dear friend, do not fret. I am not gravely injured. It is barely a scrap.â
âI know, butâŚâ She looked sad. âSighs. Guess I'm making it much worse than it is, huh?â
âIndeed. But it is moving that you care so much for me.â
âDuh I do! You're one of my best friends, big guy.â
He looked really surprised for a moment. Then, after thinking for a bit, he hugged her.
âD'awwwww.â She hugged him back. âLove ya too, big guy.â
âAhem. And hope this means you'll listen and not be so worried.â
âHmmm. Just until you get better.â
âSighs. AliciaâŚâ But she hugged him tight, and, despite himself, he never let go.
