A friend told me that I can handle letting go like a PRO!
It was the last day of my course, I’ve said goodbye to lots of people who seemed to really like me. TBH I liked them too. However, I was cool, saying that we will meet again and it was nice to see them.
I met a friend who don’t live in Cairo. When it was time to say goodbye I was cheerful and trying to be as nice as I can.
I don’t know why I’m doing this? Is it a defensive mechanism and just trying not to show my weakness and sadness? Is it because I don’t want to see people sad because of me “even in an indirect way”?
I don’t know. I will never know. But what I’m sure about is that I need to show my sadness without being insecure about it. I need to know that it’s okay to accept consolation from people.
It’s OK to be sad. It’s OK to show feelings.
It’s OK to stop instantly smiling to people when you’re really sad.
