There is a great chance he's spent far too long on designing a present for Starburst, and he won't lie-- apprehension lined his spark chamber at the idea of his gift not being satisfactory. Wisdom of the Primes unfortunately did not come with any sort of helpful guide on birthday presents.
Still, he's made an effort. And Optimus hopes it lands.
"Starburst," Came an addressing voice, attempting to be more light-hearted.
"I apologize for not arriving sooner, it took longer to assemble your gift than anticipated. However, I hope that you find it acceptable."
He'll present her a box, neatly wrapped in plain white sheets of paper with a blue bow on top. Inside? An energon mug of sorts, to be filled and refilled with energon or any other liquid of choice at convenience -- but it was shaped like a slice of cheddar cheese. Complete with indents!
Hearing herself be addressed made her jump! Ah! She's being addressed, so lightheartedly, too!
"Optimus!" She bounded over- stopping short enough to look closely at the gift-box. She grabbed at the ribbons with her teeth and tugged, pinching her talons and ripping the wrapping paper bit by bit, leaving a mess on the ground. She would clean it later- there was plenty of other confetti and streamers, it fit in nicely enough.
"Cheese-mug!! You're really sticking to your guns!!" Despite her over-eager nature, she was very careful with the mug, making test-sips, even though there was nothing inside of the cup.
"Woweee.... This is perfect. Are you a cheese monger?" With a bit of some adjustment, Starburst had stuck the mug onto one of the segments on her mane, and it seemed to be miraculously balanced. She did this so she could grab the box out of Optimus's servos, turning it over in her talons.
"Plus with a very nice box, too... You're some kind of expert... Thank you, Cheesimus Prime! Enjoy the party, okay? We got snacks and tea and a club and SO much!! Enjoy yourself!! I'm gonna fill my cheese-mug with some punch!!"
