Want to know how we cut out 50-75% of our food expenses at Disney without feeling like we are missing anything? Splitting food! None of us are going to eat an entire funnel cake by ourselves. We don’t need 4 of them. Portions at Disney are very generous so in most cases it is really easy to share a snack between the 4 of us and everyone tries a few bites and we are on to the next thing. Sometimes we get 2 and split in half, but it is rare that we ever order 4 of anything. This keeps us from quite literally throwing a lot of money in the trash can with unfinished food, or eating ourselves sick. It also frees up money for a bigger variety of snacks too. Even at counter service restaurants, the kids and I will often share an adult meal because none of us eat that much in one sitting. This trick doesn’t apply for your table service or character dining in particular, but on the frequent festival snacks, and counter service meals we have ordered, it has made a huge difference in our spending. There you have it, my #savingssaturday post for this week.
