This quick sushi recipe is perfect for busy days when you crave delicious homemade sushi but don't have much time. It's easy to make and can be stored for up to a month in the freezer, making it convenient for future meals.
Ingredients: 2 cups sushi rice. 2 1/2 cups water. 1/2 cup rice vinegar. 1/4 cup sugar. 1 teaspoon salt. Nori seaweed sheets. Assorted fillings e.g., cucumber, avocado, crab sticks.
Instructions: First, rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear. Then, use water to cook the rice in a rice cooker. Mix the sugar, salt, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan. Heat it until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Let it cool. Put the cooked rice in a large bowl, then add the vinegar mixture and mix it in. This makes sushi rice. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Then, spread sushi rice over the nori, leaving a border at the top. Place the fillings in the middle, and then use the bamboo mat to roll the dough tightly. Cut the sushi roll into pieces and serve it with pickled ginger and soy sauce.
