A warning mark au where warnings will be written on a person’s skin until the person changes their mind orrr until someone PROVES that its not true

For example:

Character A: Ugh I wish I could warn people that he never brushes his teeth

Character B *now has that mark on him until someone notices that he def brushed his teeth*

OR

Character A *is moving away*: I wish people would know that he doesn’t take care of himself so they could help him...

Character B- now has that warning label/wish tattooed on himself

I don’t mean she’s going to imply that Black people are “super predators”. I don’t mean that she’s going to support the private prison industry until she’s forced to stop supporting them. And I don’t mean that one day Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is going to support an oil pipeline being built through Native people’s sacred lands. Those things simply aren’t in Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s character.

What I mean is, one day she might say something that intentionally gets twisted and taken out of context, and blown up by corporate media. Or, she might legit say something that is problematic. And I have no doubt that on that day, Republicans (and many centrist Clinton Democrats) will jump at the opportunity to smear her good name.

But when that day comes, IF it ever comes, I want you all to remember two things:

1. Everyone deserves at least one chance to grow, learn, and correct themselves from a mistake. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes.

2. Please please please, THINK. Think very long and hard. Does whatever controversy de jour that is roiling, does it “fit” with everything AOC has stood for thus far? Does it fit with everything she’s said and done? Does it jibe? Or is it possible, is it likely that her detractors—on the right and on the “moderate” left—is it possible that they are opportunistically trying to tear down someone who has, from day one, fought for justice and equality for average people?

I stan harrrrd for AOC.

I honestly don’t expect that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez will slip up, but she is a human being. So if ever or whenever that day comes, please pump the brakes before you jump on the callout bandwagon.
