" so the first one looks like one of the most elegantly casual poses anyone could ever imagine, right? and he always looks like that, just completely... i don't even know the words. unreadable? mysterious? enchanting? anyway. cameron and i went to a house party in the bronx, and we'd agreed to stay for an hour and then feign an emergency. except, we stayed a little longer than an hour. we'll say three if you promise not to confirm that with him! anyway, every time we tried to leave, someone would spot us and keep us talking again. and then after two hours, someone figured that i wasn't drinking, and i got roped into being the designated driver. the photo was taken about three hours in, when i turned and saw cameron waiting for me to just throw a few twenties on the table for an uber and leave. i swear... i couldn't stop laughing over it. look at him! so unimpressed! and yet, i don't think i've seen anyone look so beautiful when they're that annoyed, you know? " this next one wasn't from me, actually. i think that was the morning of edwina's tea party? yeah... she wanted white flowers. peonies, maybe... but whatever arrangement of flowers she had, they needed cool water, and it was all happening during a major heatwave. i was supposed to go, but then i got locked in the pantry. took us hours to work out how to get the blasted door open... but while i'm trying to shoulder the door down, i get a text from edwina. cameron went with her; kept the taxi cold, edwina took coats and scarves for herself and the driver, and the pair of them brought home about six crates of the freshest, most exceptional peonies i've ever seen in my life! maybe the two of them need to go into business together? winter wedding planning... " oh, the third one's my favourite, actually. stanley got it into his head that he wanted to film an advertisement for the diner. lighting, green screen, motorized fans, the works. anyway, our budget was pretty stretched out, thanks to all the tests we were running on the portal, so cameron became the cameraman. absolutely excellent work, really; you couldn't catch so much as a tremor in the frame, he held it so steady! and every time stanley was getting carried away, cameron would just whip out a filter or something to distract him. anyway, contrary to popular belief, that photo exists for reasons beyond his muscles. seriously. i just thought he could use the photo for a resumé, in case any documentary crews were looking for a professional camera man.
