Satet (Satis) is an Egyptian goddess with a strong protective function, including the arts of hunting and war. She had a particular center of worship on the island of Elephantine, in southern Upper Egypt, and is thus a protector both of that border and of the Nile itself. Satet is depicted here wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt (representing her role as defender of that land) with antelope horns attached (representing her role as a huntress). She carries the was staff, a symbol of power, in one hand and the ankh, a symbol of life, in the other. She can also be depicted carrying a bow and arrows, or water jars; she may also be shown in the full form of an antelope.
Satet who stands firm, well armed, well ready, with arrows sharp and waters pure, I praise and honor you.
Offerings to Lady Satet
Satet, or Satis (known to the Greeks) was a fertility goddess who was associated with the inundation. She was often associated with the Dog Star, or Sirius, which was the star that was seen right before the flood season started. On the Night of the Teardrop, Isis, another goddess associated with Sirius and the inundation, would shed a single tear. Satet, Lady of Stars, would catch this in one of her vases and it was poured into the Nile, to start the season of the flood.
The Nile was said to flow from the heavens, to the Duat, and flow out from the first cataract of the Nile. Satet would gather water from the Duat and purify the dead when they entered the realm of the underworld, so they could be cleaned before they entered the Halls of Ma’at.
She is a Goddess of the Hunt, who would help help fight against A/P/E/P with her deadly arrows, alongside killing the enemies of the pharaoh.
The Goddess Satet, protector of Nubia and originally the goddess of the Nile flood. From the Ptolemaic period.

The Egyptian Temple of Satet in Elephantine, Aswan, Egypt
The temple was constructed sometime around 1480 BC by the Egyptians to honour and worship Satet (or Satis), an Egyptian goddess of war, hunting, fertility, and the annual flooding of the Nile River.
Good heavens -- I think I’ve stumbled across an error in that invaluable source of all knowledge and wisdom, the Lexikon der ägyptischen Götter und Götterbezeichnungen. It’s a massive, multi-volume tome which lists gods with details of when and how they appear. At the mo I’m following up attestations of Hepet-Hor under the name Ḥptt (“She Who Embraces”), and the LGG lists this: “Mammisi Armant: Rosellini, Monumenti del Culto, 52, 1.” That’s what you see above -- but the lioness-headed goddess is, surprisingly, Satet aka Satis, not Hepet-Hor. She’s standing behind Hathor and Raet-Tawy (seated).
(It is of course much more likely that I’ve made a mistake than the editors of the LGG...)
Positive Review: Satet, #398602
Who: Satet, #398602
What: Dragon renting
Why: Very polite, was quick to return my dragon
When: Satet contacted me on August 7th, dragon was returned on August 12th
Explain:
Satet sent me a message on August 7th, asking if they could borrow my fandragon Godzilla for a breeding project. I’d done business with Satet previously so I was happy to help them out.
