We knew that Jam was really a perfectionist who is striving to do his job as good as it is possible, but he is also someone who is truly empathetic. He was already this way with Pimai. I feel like he is the type of person who would do anything for those he likes. He saw behind the mask of Sarm and now he is going to do way over what is expecting of him. His mission was to bring back Sarm, but now that he saw how vulnerable Sarm is right now, he is adding a sub-mission to the first one. He is going to help him go back to his old-self because Jam can't do something just simple: it has to be done as good as possible. It doesn't matter if it wasn't asked. It's the way he does things. Add on top, his empathetic side and you'll see that Jam isn't going to leave Sarm's side until he feels better.
On a more serious way, I think this episode was really a way of showing that Sarm's heartbreak is only the tip of the iceberg to explain his current mental health. Jam has really understood pretty clearly what's going on with him:
He pretends to be tough. Not only that, but he also pretends to be someone who is carefree and someone who doesn't let his emotions affect him. He can never refuse a challenge and jump at any chances to do something over the top. He doesn't give up easily and persist even when he should stop. However, this energy isn't always used in the right direction.
It's a way of masking and hiding his emotions, mostly the pain he feels. I wonder if the heartbreak he felt when he saw Pimai getting married to his brother wasn't just the catalyst that brought him to such a vulnerable point, he couldn't show it to anyone and flee so they wouldn't witness that deep down he was not as strong as he pretended to be. I feel this was already present before, but he could hide it better.
There is nothing wrong with being vulnerable and accepting that you don't always need to be tough to go through life. Sarm is the proof that your problems don't disappear just because you leave to a different place. You need to actively tries to confront your problems and find the right solution for you. I would advise therapy, but since he isn't going to do it, I feel like letting people see and accept him for his flaws and qualities could already be the right step towards healing.
