A night that would usually be silent, solemn.

As if that’d be the case now.

Shoto hadn’t initially had any plans for this night, the night of October 31st. He planned his usual, to read so inordinately. He was an avid one when he had managed to find time.

Izuku, well... he begged to differ. A loquacious yet plain boy that Shoto has found so utterly pulchritudinous. A boy that had these brown specs that littered his cheeks, almost as if they were the constellations themselves.

And to be aware that this admirable boy had similar feelings? Felt surreal.

They weren’t doing much as is, strolling within the streets. Izuku appeared pleased, even within his luminous emerald-green eyes.

They had decided it’d be appropriate to dress up, even if Shoto originally had desired to protest.

Something about the green haired boy... it was as if he couldn’t decline.

Such came to what it was now, Izuku as a ghost (moreover him just dressd within a white-cloak like jacket with a face drawn on the hood) due to being encouraged to be anything but All Might that year, and Shoto having been dressed as a vampire.

A simple appearance.

“I don’t understand,” Shoto randomly spoke out.

“Huh? What do you mean?” Izuku inquired, tilting his head towards him.

“Don’t you think we’re too old for this?” 

Izuku halted.

“What is it?”

“I- I don’t know, I think I found something.”

He rushed that direction, checking to see what it was. 

A cat, one with unkempt gray fur. It was almost inordinately skinny, a concerning appearance. It seemed frigid.

“S-Sho! Over here!”

He complied, ambling towards his seemingly-distressed boyfriend.

“A cat?”

“Yeah... it looks like it needs help...”

Izuku pursed his lips before taking off his ghostly-cloak.

“What are you-“

“I want to help it!”

“Izu...”

He peered at the smaller male, who seemed avid on assisting the poor animal.

“Here,” Shoto finally started.

“I’ll help.”

Izuku’s eyes almost grew a size they had lightened so much. A smile crept onto his face.

“Thanks!”

Izuku had handed the animal over to Shoto, who now was cradling it on his left side, which happened to be warmer. As if it was a heater, causing the cat to nuzzle into him softly, a weak meow escaping it.

He couldn’t help but feel somewhat touched by the action, staring in almost fascination at it.

“Yeah...”
