How inappropriate would it be for me to post about my fix it scenario for Angel's storyline in s2 after all the stuff that happened yesterday? lmfao
I just had a thought that they probably should have scrapped the hypno plot altogether if it wasn't going to go anywhere. Especially since they didn't need to explain Angel leaving since he sang a whole song in s1 about being addicted to Val. He doesn't need a reason to go back.
So my thought was- Angel isn't a spy. But after episode 3, he starts to miss Val. After he learns Husk is leaving the hotel after Alastor's kidnapping, Angel reaffirms to himself that he also has no reason to go back and takes it as a rejection. So Angel doesn't give HUsk hope that he'll be there when he gets back but he also masks his true feelings so their talk still ends on a high note and Husk still decides to go back to the hotel for Angel.
Angel, however, doesn't go back and instead tells Val that he wants to move back in. In episode 7, there is no Angel presentation and it's just Vox's speech. But Angel is standing by Val as his arm candy. Everyone assumes that he must have been kidnapped. They go to the party to prevent the war and save Angel as they did in episode 8. Angel is still zonked out on drugs and still defends Val because I do think he was more drugged up and acting on Val's orders rather than hypno'd. Or at least it can be explained that way....
ANYWAY, all of that happens exactly the same way. Angel helps out in Hear My Hope still and then he still chooses to go back to Val. Biggest change here is Angel's reason for leaving and maybe he is more cruel about it. Husk is FAR sadder about it because it's more of a rejection. A "choosing him over me" situation because Angel doesn't seems to have a reason other than "he wants to". It's a relapse and he relapsed bad. Husk understands maybe but he is still very hurt.
Anyways, that's my little fix it scenario. I would have made it a oneshot but Idk if it was appropriate given some of the discourse I've seen.
