Sometimes family is four burnt out children who finally chose themselves and people who genuinely care for them and that's wonderful.

That last scene of Young Royals really got me all emotional and watery eyed. Not only did we get Wille’s abdication and Wilmon getting back together, free from the responsibilities of monarchy and the stress that had in their relationship but we also had friendship put on the same level of a pedestal. Sara and Felice also got a beautiful ending, appreciating the space each other takes up in their life. They got in the car too, putting an equal weighting between romantic/sexual love and platonic love. If I wasn’t aromantic I would snog the writers so hard. The beauty of that scene both emotionally but also cinematically of the light filtering through the tree-lined street and filling the car with a warm glow I- 🥹🥲🥹😭😭😭
