Aww, here we go! A very easy one! 

While Steven will always be #1 for Peridot as far as I’m concerned, I’m open to shipping her with quite a few others.

I ship Peridot with Spinel even though they’ve had zero interaction so far. Still waiting for the day they actually do interact, but every time I imagine it, priceless things happen. 

I also really like pairing her with Garnet for some odd reason. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve written a lot of them interacting together, or if I just really find it adorable that Peridot went from seeing Garnet as sacrilege incarnate to basically idolizing her. 

By extension, I also like Ruby/Peridot and Sapphire/Peridot because those are interactions that just make me smile so hard when I think of them.

I like the concept of Pearl/Peridot, mostly as a rivalry-based ship. Peri basically being the Gary to Pearl’s Ash Ketchum.

And I like Bismuth/Peridot as well. Mostly they’d just go very well together and I believe Bismuth would actually treat her right.

Sapphire had invited Peridot and the rest of the gems along to Funland, although it was against the rules for them to go, they didn’t particularly care. After they had gotten there, Sapphire smiled to Peridot.

“I would like to show you something I think you’d like.” Sapphire said, grabbing Peridot by the wrist and leading her to the Arcade. Peridot looked around at the arcade machines in amazement and wonder. She began to go to each one.

“What are these things?” Peridot asked, coming to one titled ‘Dance Dance Revolution’ and Sapphire smiled.

“They’re called arcade cabinets. They allow us to play video games, like Steven’s Game Cube. Come on, let’s play this one!” Sapphire pulled her onto on of the pads, standing on the one beside it herself. “Okay, so, to play this one, when the arrows line up with their outlines on the screen, you stomp on the arrow on the pad. Make sense?” Peridot nodded as Sapphire put in a few quarters.

“I hope I don’t mess up…” Peridot mumbled as Sapphire selected a song. It started up, and they began dancing in rhythm with each other. Peridot began to smile a bit more, looking over at her, blushing as she noticed just how beautiful and fun loving she was. She began to pick up the pace. “We should swap mats!” Peridot suggested. Sapphire giggled.

“Sure!” Sapphire jumped to Peridot’s mat, and Peridot went to Sapphire’s. Her gem began to glow as she laughed, having a blast. Sapphire was giggling, her own gem glowing. “Switch!” They ran by each other, getting close to the end of the song. They both began to get enveloped in light, and as they hit the last stomp, they fused into Blue Agate, who was hugging and laughing to herself.

“That was amazing! W-whoa….” She looked down at herself and blushed, before giggling. “Wow I feel…. A-amazing!” She laughed a bit before beginning to diffuse into Peridot and Sapphire laughing and holding each other. Peridot moved Sapphire’s bangs away, looking into her eye.

“S-Sapphire…. I love you….” Peridot smiled and kissed her cheek, holding her close.

It had been decided. After a long discussion and one or two checks of possibilities in the future, Peridot and Sapphire decided to move out. To Empire City, where they could be themselves without constantly getting antagonized by Ruby or the others who kept asking Sapphire “Why?”

It took them about a week to move into their cozy little two bedroom apartment, though they decided to stay in the same room. Peridot had new enhancers, but she only wore them out of the house. She spent her time on a laptop Steven had given her for an online job search. However, Peridot had some… Trouble, being alone. She spent a lot of the time being shelled in the room. During one of her lock up stints, Sapphire walked in.

“W-why are you with me, Sapphire…?” Peridot looked at her. She had been crying. Sapphire walked to her.

“Why wouldn’t I be, Peridot?”

“A-all I’ve done is cause you trouble and-” Sapphire put her finger over her lips to shush her.

“No, not at all… I think it’s good to get away from the others sometimes. And even still, they can get us anytime they need us…. Peridot, I’m with you because you make me happy. I’m with you, because in all possibilities, we are happy, no matter what happens. And I know I make you happy, and you need to be happy… You were taken from your home, sent on a suicide mission, and you found freedom… I want you to be the happiest gem in the universe, and I want to be the one that brings you that happiness. I love you, Peridot. And I always will.”

Peridot was shaking a little as she hugged Sapphire tightly. She teared up a little.

Sapphire woke up some three hours after falling asleep in Peridot’s arms. When she woke, she was laying on the bed, and Peridot was working on her enhancers. Sapphire rubbed her eye. “Peridot… Thank you for staying with me, even after I broke down like that…”

Dunno how people feel on this ship, but still posting it. Hope some people like it.

Peridot was inside the barn at about noon, drawing in a sketchbook that Steven had given her. She was avoiding everyone, because the night before Ruby and Sapphire erupted into a huge argument and decided to take a break away from each other, and Peridot didn’t know what to think. The barn door creaked and she looked over. Sapphire walked in, sitting beside her. Peridot frowned. “Hey Sapphire…”

“Hello.” She responded, simply.

“Are you okay? You look-”

“Upset? Yes, I know. You don’t feel happy after messing up a centuries old relationship…” She looked to the side.

“It’s not your fault…” Peridot said in an attempt to make her feel better.

“Yes it is.” She said, ice beginning to cover the spot she was sitting on. Peridot sighed.

“Look, I don’t…. Fully understand relationship dynamics, but I do know where to shift blame. It was no one’s fault, simply time. It was inevitability that you needed a break from each other. And…. I think it’s a good thing. It gives you a chance to be… You, again.” She said with a weak smile. Sapphire paused for a moment before hugging onto Peridot tightly. “...Thank you, Peridot.” She said, hiding her eye with her hair still. Peridot moved the hair away, noticing her tearing up. She hugged her tightly. “Let it out…”
