Pallis used to be far more openly protective of his brother, but he was ordered by their father to become less doting in order to force Adakias to "toughen up". A combination of his father's urgings and increasingly heavy responsibilities caused Pallis to become cold and distant towards Adakias as they grew older. This did not, however, stop him from frequently sending Sangara to check up on Adakias in his place.
