Snapshot! Describe a scene or a full day from the familyβs life. It could be anything from a normal daily routine, or some special day and what happened that day. ^u^
Hallen: Sanea wakes her parents by jumping onto their bed. Oak the mabari is instantly awake, barking once to greet little mistress as Halla sits halfway up, propping herself on her elbows, and smiles sleepily at Sanea.Β βMorning, sunshine,β she says fondly as Cullen groans.
βSanea,β he mumbles,Β βit is entirely too early.β
The five-year-old giggles and crawls up to papa, poking at him twice before he takes her by surprise and hugs her tight against him, rolling back over and pretending to go back to sleep as his daughter shrieks,Β βPapa!β
By this time, Luke has also made his way to his parentsβ room, and he clambers up on the bed, too, reaching for mama. Halla gives him a hug and a kiss before leaning over to Cullen, truncated left arm still around Luke, and running her fingers through two sets of messy blond curls.Β βRise and shine, Cul,β she murmurs.Β βYour children are awake.β
βBefore breakfast, they are your children,β her husband grumbles back, but heβs smiling.
Sethalla (in Tharionin canon, since thatβs where they have Tommy): They take turns holding the boy throughout the day, trade off whoβs got Tommy wrapped tightly to their chest in the field. Theyβre valued agents with excellent job security, so they donβt think anything of stopping to let Halla breastfeed while traveling. The Inquisitor himself delivered this baby; heβs not going to mind if Halla and Seth are a few hours later to their destination than they said they would be if itβs because they were taking care of Tommy.
Has having children changed the character? How?
Yes. No matter the universe, having children changes Halla, and usually for the better. In most universes, sheβs scared of what kind of mother sheβll be, since most of the mothering she had as a child was abusive and horrible from her stepmother. Even in the modern au, where she knew her mother for ten years longer than in canon, Halla is still scared sheβll be like Elice.
But man, her children are her most treasured things in the entire world, and seeing them grow well under her care gives her some more of her self-worth back. Not that she cares by then; sheβs too busy teaching her kids to never let anyone take away their self-worth.

Luke is very close to his parents. Heβs been calledΒ βmommaβs boyβ by more than one person in his lifetime. He is proficient in both swordplay and fighting with daggers. He prefers the sword.
Sanea is more independent than her brother, and she wears the titleΒ βapostateβ with pride. She has a rather assorted training in magic; she lived with Aiyan and Dorian and Deshanna for a while learning both Dalish and Tevinter magic, and she spent some time under Grand Enchanter Vivienneβs tutelage as well. Her mother also made sure that Sanea can defend herself without magic, so she always carries a knife or two on her person.
Luke and Sanea are terribly fond of each other. Luke is his sisterβs sworn protector, and Sanea laughs whenever her reminds her of that.Β βBrother mine, I protect you just as much as you protect me.β They love each other dearly and itβs adorable okay.
Tommy is a triple threat, proficient in dagger fighting, swordplay, and magic. Interestingly, his fighting styles mirror his parentsβ. His swordplay is form-based and precise, and his close-quarters dagger fighting is unpredictable and deadly as a storm.
Tommy, like his father, is a person of intense integrity. Honesty and sincerity are the most important things to him, save the well-being of his loved ones. If he lies, itβs to keep someone safe.
Like Luke in a different universe, heβs also a huge mommaβs boy.
