Lyra and Ethan know how much he struggles w giving or accepting affection so their strategy is to just not give him time to process and get embarassed by it. Full force attack. Giving affection casually like its no big deal and continuing on like nothing happened so silver doesnt have time to be embarassed about it in the moment. It also helps him to relax a bit and not feel pressured. Trying to learn how to have positive healthy relationships after 11ish years of nothing is very difficult and would make you feel very vulnerable.

Especially being abandoned by your family, im sure there is some level of fear that literally anyone else could leave you too. If your own family wouldn't stay around, itd be hard to trust someone who you see as having even less reason to stick around.

Lyra started liking Ethan first, Ethan started liking them both next, then Lyra started liking Silver, and lastly, Silver warmed up to them enough to like them.

Lyra. She likes planning out dates and stuff and has a bit of a romantic streak. Ethan is a lot more spontaneous and Silver gets uncomfortable in situations like that because he’s lived on his own for so long that he feels out of place anywhere more fancy than like... Ethan is surprisingly adept at fishing, though he always releases the Pokemon he doesn’t catch. Silver is also decent, but he’d just as soon jump into the river and grab one as use an actual fishing rod. (That’s what happens when you learn how to fish from your Pokemon.) Lyra is content just watching them. She doesn’t like touching the bait anyway.

Lyra. Ethan thinks it’ll be fun. Silver is Uncomfortable but humors his S/Os anyway. He is a surprisingly decent dancer.

Ethan and Lyra both go all-out. Silver prefers a smaller, more intimate celebration, but he appreciate what they do for him and tolerates the additional people at their parties.

Ethan sings loudly, and often. Lyra sometimes joins in. Silver rarely ever sings, but he would get the loudest in the shower b/c that’s where he can most often forget that other people might hear. Still not as loud as Ethan, though.
