hi!! if its not troublesome, what pens/brushes do use? they have such a nice look :0
Some days ago, I did download a new brush (csp) and made a comparison. Here you go 😊
hi Sam!! i feel like you've probably been asked this question many times but how long have you been drawing? also did you learn how to draw by yourself or maybe you studied drawing professionally somewhere? i'm a beginner and i have some problems with sketches (and everything else lol), it's taking me forever to put characters in the pose i want them to be even though they still look kinda off... don't know how to put this into words but when i look at your art it feels like you really KNOW what you're doing, your lines are so confident, posing and composition are perfect, shading is so lively even though your drawings are usually black&white!!!! your skill impresses me so much. one can achieve this level only with time and practice?
Hello, Nymo.
I can't say for sure how long I've been drawing, but I've been at it since 5. I got more serious with art in 2021 due to Covid haha. The character drawings are self-taught, because the classes I've partaken in taught me to draw objects and crosshatching shading – However, it wasn't helpful with how I draw things now.
Beginners run into all sorts of problems; It's only natural that you do too. It's great that you know your drawing looks off; don't worry, with some observation and learning your skill will catch up with your vision!
Regarding my work, what you see is the best possible version I uploaded, it doesn't really speak of my past troubles nor the scrapped drawings nor my struggles during its creation. The confidence you see lies in the knowledge I attained. There's a lot of learning and referencing from people whose art I like, and how I incorporate aspects of their styles into my own. There's the knowledge of how light interacts with objects, the three dimensions of objects and characters alike, etc. to consider. You can't expect to always "wing it".
You can achieve, and also, surpass myself; I'm just a rookie in the grand scheme of things. Time and practice is incredibly essential. However, let me ask you this – Can you draw an accurate horse without ever studying it?
Anyways, here's a timelapse of my work, if it helps! I remember being super frustrated with sketches because the line art looks terrible compared to it – so I'd forgone the process altogether. It's a game changer! Though, I pay the price of my line art looking somewhat messy. To each our own.
Last timelapse i'm gonna postt
Another timelapse as requested.

hi, Sam! Can we see more of your speed paints? Your process looks so seamless and it's so mesmerising to see. I learned a lot and got inspired from your rtrn fanarts, I'm so curious how you start putting your vision on paper
Sure! Csp does do this weird thing where it wont export the FULL thing for me, but I'll show you what I can.

Hello! I've seen your works and I especially love the way you draw and make comics, they feel full of life and story. I've been wanting to know how do you make comics in general?
How do you know what panels to use on each page and what dialog to incorporate in them? Do you make plans before you create a comic or just do it from the get go? How long does it take from start to finish?
I've always wanted to get into making my own comics since I was a child, and I'd love to know how you've done it. Keep up your work and thank you if you respond!!!
General process:
>Gets possessed
>Idea
>Think ending
>aura farm moment in middle
>Write script
>Draft comic pages
>Ink and Line and dialogue
>Screentone and shading
>gets unpossessed
>Done?
See, for me, It actually starts with dialogue. From the dialogue, I begin imagining characters saying it and what they might do. Planning and time taken depends on length of comic.
Shrimp, it's really easy, you don't need square panels, you don't need crazy composition, you don't need to be godly at drawing characters etc, you just need some dialogue to get started, even stickmens will work.
To get better, you practice and you observe how other masters do things and try having your own twists.
The point of comics is to tell a story, and it may dtart with some stickmens saying 6777 and the other kills him
