Random Yellowjackets thoughts, but I love how sympathetic they made so many of their characters. The way the timelines are set up and how we get to see in real time the reasons why certain traumas still affect them and their behaviors. They make a questionable decision as an adult and we’re show a scene of their younger self experiencing the trauma that impacted those later decisions. On the flip side— when the younger version of them does something questionable we get a glimpse at adult them either learning from it or still experiencing that guilt. So many of these girls do downright deplorable things but we get so much of the bigger picture and see how these decisions affect them. I think a lot of sympathy can be lended to seeing them at both stages of their lives. Them as girls and them as women dealing with the consequences of that girlhood.
