I find endless mirth in the linguistic confusion brought about by the fact that the present participle of both ‘to secret’ and ‘to secrete’ is ‘secreting’.

do u ever read a really good story but the end has such an unforgivably dumb but minor plot element but it still just ruins it for you completely?

at trivia tonight, there was a question asking what the words “tear, wind, minute” (and a few others I think) were examples of and we wrote “homonyms” and the answer was “heteronyms” and my first thought was “damn, the heteros ruined it again /: but alas, i was surrounded by straight people who would not appreciate my wit </3

So it's really annoying when you find someone perfect and cute and you want to date them but then you realize that the reason they are perfect is because they like everything you like and because you are so similar, they are basically you. They are a spitting image of you. You would be dating yourself. No one wants to date themselves. No one.
