Interesting trend there... it would seem restricted access to abortion does NOT lower abortion rates, but GREATLY impedes access to safe abortions.

Huh. Weird. If outlawing abortion lowers abortion rates, then why did legalizing do the same thing? It's almost like the legality of abortion isn't the motivating factor for someone seeking an abortion.

Furthermore, as I stated before, the vast majority of abortions are performed during the first trimester (87.4% before 12 weeks), and late term abortions are incredibly rare:

Outlawing abortion does not prevent abortion. It just prevents safe abortion.

Abortion has existed for thousands of years. It exists with or without medical intervention. It always has, and it always will. As long as there is unwanted pregnancy, there will be abortion.

Some of us just happen to give a shit about the people having abortions, and want them to be able to do so safely.

Just because you can gestate a baby, doesn't mean you're obligated to.

If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. If you're pregnant and want to keep it, cool, that's your choice. If you're pregnant and want to give it up for adoption, cool, that's your choice. If you're pregnant and want to abort, cool, that's your choice. That's what pro-choice means.

But if it's not your uterus, you don't get a say.
