Victorian Pork were the Vancouver scene's first 'fuck band'. Formed out of necessity in a scene built out of a tiny number of extremely driven individuals. Fuck bands were random groupings of musicians from other bands playing silly songs on instruments they were often wholly unfamiliar with. A fuck band's sole purpose was to provide and opening act for the scene's legit bands, of which there were rarely enough to stage a full show.
