Sitting high above La Paz at 13,620 feet high, the city has become home to a burgeoning middle class. Pioneered by self taught architect Freddy Mamani, a style of architecture has emerged based on ancient Andean symbolism which has spread rapidly through the city in the form of these incredible Salon de Eventos which feature retail stores, grand and lavishly decorated ballrooms and private homes on top. With the help of my new buddy @williamwroblewski as my fixer, I captured over 15 of these amazing structures that have inspired, polarised and fascinated both Bolivia and the world at large.
