…this is the divide?@ savrenim
the answer is that the question is that it’s poorly worded and that both answers are as correct as the other, every time in that one of these goes viral a little piece of me inside dies of, like, arguing the semantics of really shittily worded problems that do NOT have a good answer is, like. not what makes anyone good at math it’s actively pointless.

I KNOW RIGHT
flying a motorcycle
Imagine Hadrian taking Orion out on a joyride on Sirius's flying motorcycle. Imagine the absolutely ecstatic look on Sirius's face when they ask him, sort of giddy and maniac all at once while Remus tries to do damage control in the background.
Imagine Hadrian loving the feeling of wind blowing against his face as his cheeks turn red until he can’t feel his ears anymore. Imagine him with a glint in his eyes, almost daring as he urges the motorcycle to go faster.
Imagine Orion being mesmerized by Hadrian's laughter, loud and effortlessly bubbling up his throat. Imagine Orion having a flushed complexion as he catches himself staring and quietly, hesitantly pressing himself closer to Hadrian’s back. He tells himself that it’s because he’s scared of falling off.
Imagine them watching the skies with breathless awe as it’s painted in streaks of blue against purples and reds and everything in between.
Now imagine Hadrian pointing at the sunrise, with a grin that spells nothing but pure mischief.
--
Up in the skies, where no one can reach them; when the entire city is asleep, and there’s nothing but them and the moon and the stars - it is quiet.
"So, Orion. Are you enjoying the ride?" Hadrian asks casually, his eyes are twinkling with motes of light, as if he captured the stars and placed them there. He looks breathtaking and Orion tries not to think about it. “Orion?”
Orion blinks rapidly, runs the question through his head and hopes against all hope that his face wasn’t as red as it felt. "Yeah, it's- it's nice.” he blurts out, his words spilling out like it’s a waterfall and it’s almost jarring; suddenly losing all the - admittedly limited - social skills that he had previously possessed. “The view is great. The sunset I mean. Um. Yeah. "
Merlin.
Hadrian grins cheerfully as if he doesn’t notice the complete and utter mess Orion was. “Good!” he laughs, and not for the first time, Orion is grateful that Hadrian doesn’t judge him.
Hadrian smiles and traces the motorcycle handle, one finger over the worn rubber. His hands look soft. They’re probably cold. Orion feels his palms get sweaty and he forces himself to think of other things.
“I should probably tell you something.” His voice is light.
“What is it?” Orion asks.
The engine makes an odd noise then, growling and sending tremors throughout the motorcycle. They shake and stutter to a stop in the middle of the air. Dad charmed this right? Orion thinks, slightly hysterically. He tightens his hold around Hadrian without thinking.
“I didn't want to tell you before,” Hadrian says, almost as an afterthought. “-but this is the first time I've touched a motorcycle."
Orion freezes. "What."
Hadrian smiles as if butter wouldn’t melt inside his mouth, his eyes are full of innocence as if to say he didn’t know this would happen. "And I have no idea how to land this thing either.”
Orion would believe him if he hadn’t seen this was the exact look on Hadrian’s face when he talked about sending Rita Skeeter to Azkaban.
“Hadr-” Orion’s voice comes out strangled.
Hadrian presses a soft palm against his mouth and cackles, "You better cross your fingers Orion and hold on tight because-
Orion hears a strange wheezing noise, erratic in loud bursts. The motorcycle finally seems to realize that it wasn’t supposed to be able to fly and was now diving straight towards the ground to fix that. The feeling of weightlessness pools at the pit of his stomach and the last thing Orion sees before his eyes close is Hadrian’s
"-I think we're out of gas."
--
Imagine the motorcycle diving straight towards the ground. Imagine Hadrian laughing wildly as their bodies dip forward. Imagine Orion letting out a scream and clutching onto Hadrian for dear life.
"HHHHAAAAAADDDDRRRRIIIAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!!!!!"
Imagine at the very last moment, before they crash, Hadrian pulls up. Imagine Orion plastered against Hadrian’s back, heart racing madly and mouth swearing to every god he knows that he was going to kill him after this.
Imagine Hadrian laughing at him, bright and bold and wonderful.
Orion, trying to discourage Hadrian from hanging out with him: You shouldn't be near me. People tell me I'm a handful.
Hadrian, ready to punch anyone who disagrees with him: Well it's a good thing I have two hands.

Harry: What are you gonna do? Curse me?
Hadrian: Merlin, grant me patience.
Hadrian: Because if you give me strength.
Hadrian: I’ll smash his head against this wall.
Harry: Weasley, I know this might be new to you, but there's a thing that exists called "privacy". So shoo, you're making me claustrophobic.
Ron: *moving closer* What does that mean?
Cedric: It means he's afraid of Santa Claus!
Harry: What? No, that's not what-
Ron: HO HO HO!
Cedric, snorting: Ron, stop, you're scaring him!
