Saig, in 1-3 sentences, please introduce yourself! :D I'm Saig, I'm a very old engineer who is a poor attempt of a coffee addicted artist who is forever tired. I just draw to indulge myself so excuse me in advance of whatever I could end up doing.

What do you like about Kuvira? I love her strength and tenacity. She is a force of nature and she knows so and use it on her favor. Her confidence and determination are something to admire for sure.

Why do you want to participate in Kuvira Zine Volume II? I have been away from internet and art for too long and when I decided to show up was offered to participate, what better than do some art of a character I love, share time with wonderful artists and be part of something as cool as this zine?

I just find it so interesting how my original intentions for the two of them and what their dynamic would be has shifted over time. While the two have always been a foil for the other, originally they were meant to be just straight up enemies. They wouldn’t get to know each other until after she went all in with her plans, burning any and all bridges along the way.

And yet here they are now.

I actually wholly blame RWBY for the change in their dynamic. When I forced all of them onto a team, I had no idea how the two of them would interact. What was formerly a wholly antagonistic relationship with occasional hints of sexual tension was tossed out the window, because now they had to work together. They were partners. This was a point in Adrastia’s life where she hasn’t thrown herself off the deep end yet (though she’s precariously close), and so she could actually make those important bonds.

And now a dynamic I had never even considered beforehand has now turned into a focal point for both of their characters, I think. Which is for the better I think, it’s better to have that emotional core. Now these two are each other’s best friend, one step removed from family. They play off of each other well, and they just get each other. They would do almost anything for each other.

Which of course will make her inevitable betrayal all the more painful.
