Hello SAGA, I really think what you're doing at ESC is fantastic. I see myself as aromantic and asexual, however I feel that I want to be in a relationship in someone and sometimes feel like I need a good hug, but someone goes to hug me, I make a run for it. Can someone who is like me still be in relationship and feels that they need a good ol' hug every now-and-then be with someone who may not be aromantic or asexual? And how can I explain what being asexuality and aromantic is? Thank you XD
Hello! Someone who is aromantic and asexual is still totally valid in feeling that want to be in a relationship and be hugged! A relationship does not necessarily have to be romantic or sexual and really just be a special type of friendship or anything that you want it to be. Which includes an asexual and aromantic person being with a sexual and romantic person. Relationships don’t have to be a specific way and it’s up to you and your partner to communicate what it is you want and/or need out of a relationship :)
Asexuality and aromanticism are very varied types of labels that can vary from person to person. But a way you could explain it is that it’s the absence of sexual and romantic attraction. Â
