After so much procrastination, finally I can write it out. Hey @ultralineart, are you still following me?

Chapter 2′s commentaries:

This is the only chapter when I think of the name first (other chapter’s name took like 5 seconds just before posting for me to come up with) and deliberatedly wrote along the name’s theme.

Simultaneously both the easiest and hardest chapter to write. Easiest because I basically just followed mostly canon events, just slipped in some differences here and there. So I don’t even have to think about what would come up next. Hardest because with those same events as the canon, I had to twist them so that instead of pushing him to become a hero, pushing him down the villain path.

Family influence are a major part in shaping your character, and I wanted to make this idea clear. Literally the only difference between canon! Izuku and this fic! Izuku was his family situation and his mother’s mental state. You could say that it was his mother’s neglection that cause him to turn so twisted in his head. She wasn’t insane by any mean, just sad and pitiful, but that’s enough to affect a young kid’s innocent mind.

Villainy is only one of the possible options, not an inevitable consequence to shitty situations life throws at you. Izuku could’ve still chosen to become a quirkless police, rather than turning to crime, had he not be blinded by the misplace rage at heroes and society (and his obession over Katsuki too, couldn’t forget that). I hope I made this clear enough.

Playing with Unreliable Narrator trope was so fun.
