6. How do they react to the realization that they like the other character? Is it an “oh my god I’m never going to think about this again” thing, or are they pretty comfortable with it?

Estinien was… very Estinien about it lol he realized he loved her at the ghimlyt dark when he saved her life because he had a visceral reaction to the idea of losing her and went ‘huh. I guess that’s a thing. anyway we both have bigger things to worry about moving on’

I don’t think it was necessarily pining but I do think he fully intended to package those feelings away as something to never do anything with unless she gives an indication that she wants anything more from him (she’d kissed him once by this point but that was kind of on a whim and then she leapt off a cliff before he could say anything so he doesn’t count that)

Cimorene, on the other hand, has had so many feelings about him since the end of Heavensward that she can’t be around him without her brain essentially short circuiting (hence kissing him and fleeing before she even realizes she’s in love). Once she does realize it’s love… it’s still a lot of internal screaming because her last love ended very tragically and she doesn’t really want to do that again but also every second they spend together just makes her feel. right. and she can’t deny that she wants to be with him as much as possible.

So, she finally stops fighting it and lets him know she wants him and with that confirmed, they’re both much more comfortable together.

(So that was a bit of an essay lmao)

30. What completely petty topic (music taste, favorite food) do they find themselves completely at odds with their partner about?

I once had a passing thought that Cimorene doesn’t like seafood and now I’m stuck on it and genuinely think that it is a source of conflict for them lmao (similarly her spice tolerance is much much MUCH higher than his so in general sharing food is just. not something that happens)
