ok so a lot of people had said that saeness is very random and YES i agree but they’re a rare pair for a reason, but i think they make more sense than other rarepairs, so imma explain them.

1. they’re both players in the same league around the same age; kaiser and sae are both new gen 11 players so it would make sense for sae and ness to know each other and to have met in the past

2. kaiser and sae are similar in that they both left someone, but sae left rin out of love while kaiser was js manipulating ness the entire time. after kaiser, i think ness would seek another person who would act as a “replacement” or fit the same role as kaiser. sae would offer this but actually care abt ness and sae wouldn’t leave again like how he did w/ rin

3. childhood friends au. do i care that ness is german?? no. they can both speak english. they’ll be fine.

4. ness and sae have contrasting personalities; sae is more nonchalant abt things or doesn’t care, while ness’ personality is more bright. opposites attract, plus, i think they would compliment each other well.
