On paper, it’s old-world enough that men (if a man is even hired, there is a strong gender prejudice) must be wearing shirts tucked into slacks with a belt.
Girls basically follow ‘school rules’ as far as dress and skirt length but with no graphic tees and no jeans, no ‘cheap’ flipflops. Jewelry and accessories can’t be distracting or attention-grabbing in any way.
In practice it’s no jeans (I break it all the time by wearing black jeans), no leggings (broken constantly by the comanager), no shorts (broken constantly by the comanager), and nothing ‘revealing’ (broken by the manager with low-cut back shirts). People have whatever polish/jewelry they want as long as it’s not offensive etc etc. But since the BIG HOUSE PEOPLE are coming we’re all likefuck, everyone wear their best OR. ELSE. but just for one day
